<p><strong>How To Transform Your Entire Life With Meditation</strong></p>
<p>Meditation is an important pillar to a happy and fulfilled life and to realizing the life of your dreams, I would like to go a bit deeper and tell you more about meditation and how it can help you to make your dreams come true. </p>
<p>Actually, meditation is the only possibility to pass through the illusion and to experience your true nature, your higher self. It allows you to access and experience the highest form of happiness, love, fulfillment and freedom. </p>
<p>Meditation also makes you more creative, it grows your intuition and inspiration and it allows you to get in touch with the universal intelligence and to receive help, guidance and answers for all your problems and questions. </p>
<p>Meditation is the most powerful way to inner transformation, and by allowing you to get in touch with your inner happiness, love, fulfillment, abundance&#8230; it provides you with the surest and quickest way to realize happiness, abundance, love, fulfillment&#8230; the life of your dreams in your physical reality. </p>
<p>As you know, whatever you create within (and whatever you become aware of as your inner nature) will also become your outer reality, because everything on the outside is nothing but a reflection of what is within. </p>
<p>There are hundreds of different meditation techniques, some are simple and others are very complicated. But the ultimate purpose of meditation is to enable you to go beyond mind. </p>
<p>The technique itself isn&#8217;t really that important. You can experiment with different meditation techniques and one that &#8216;s maybe great for you might not work at all for someone else. The goal here isn&#8217;t to master a specific technique, the goal is to move into silence, to calm down the mind and to go beyond the mind. The technique is only the tool &#8211; don&#8217;t let it become the ultimate purpose. </p>
<p>Here is a brief summary of it:</p>
<p>Choose a position that&#8217;s comfortable for you. You can be sitting on a chair, on the floor or lying on your back&#8230; Close your eyes, turn your palms to face upward, relax your body and let go of any tension. At the beginning it is helpful to focus on your breathing. </p>
<p>Breath in and be aware of the air flowing inwards, then stop, be calm, let go of all your thoughts, move into silence, don&#8217;t do anything, let it happen. Then breathe out and be aware of the air flowing outwards, don&#8217;t force it, simply let it happen. </p>
<p>At the beginning it is difficult to switch off your mind and to let go of all your thoughts, but focusing on your breathing will help you to gradually calm down your mind. Doing this, you will be getting calmer and calmer, your mind starts disappearing and then you can also stop focusing on your breath and move even deeper into silence. </p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget, the goal here is to get out of your mind, to go beyond mind, but as long as you are using a specific technique you are still in your mind, no matter how perfectly you master it. </p>
<p>The technique I just explained is only one of many and of course, you can also &#8220;play&#8221; with others. Just don&#8217;t put too much importance on the technique itself, the only purpose of it is to calm down your mind as much as possible. Once that happens, you also have to drop the technique, otherwise it becomes an obstacle and you won&#8217;t be able to break through to your true nature, to your ultimate reality. </p>
<p>Make a conscious effort, to calm down your mind. Don&#8217;t think about what needs to be done tomorrow, what happened yesterday&#8230; that&#8217;s not important right now, just don&#8217;t give it any attention for the next few minutes. Whenever a thought comes, simply dismiss it. </p>
<h2>Calm down your mind, stop following your thoughts&#8230;</h2>
<p>You can do it. At any moment you can decide to follow and further develop a certain thought or to dismiss it. You only have to become conscious and aware of your own thinking and &#8220;minding&#8221;. </p>
<p>When a thought arises, decide not to follow it. Observe it, be aware of it, but don&#8217;t engage in it. And the thought disappears, it simply evaporates and suddenly there is a bit less mind and a bit more silence, a bit more &#8220;being&#8221;. </p>
<p>Now, another thought comes and again, dismiss it and create a bit more silence. This little game continues and thoughts start coming less and less frequently while the silence within keeps on growing until your mind disappears completely and only your being, your true nature is left. </p>
<p>Your mind is a very useful tool, it is absolutely necessary, but you don&#8217;t need it 24 hours a day. At least for a few minutes every day try to go beyond it and to become aware of your inner nature. </p>
<p>These few minutes of deep authentic silence will already be sufficient to completely transform your life. You will open up and experience your true nature &#8211; love, happiness, abundance, freedom&#8230; &#8211; and your life will never be the same again. </p>
<p>Thinking or &#8220;minding&#8221; became the most natural thing to us, we do it all day long and we are not even aware of it anymore. And that&#8217;s also the reason why it&#8217;s so difficult at the beginning to move into silence, to move from doing into being. You try to be silent for a few seconds, but then a thought arises and without even realizing, you follow it, you indulge in it. </p>
<p>You might think you are meditating (going beyond mind), but in reality you are &#8220;minding&#8221;, you are following your thoughts, you are interpreting your feelings, you think: &#8220;Ah, how great this feels&#8221; or &#8220;is that all?&#8221; or &#8220;I&#8217;m a bit bored, but I will make an effort&#8221; or &#8220;oh, I&#8217;m so calm and silent today, if only it would always be like that&#8221;&#8230; </p>
<p>These kind of thoughts come and go and that&#8217;s absolutely normal. All you need to learn is to become more and more aware of them during your meditation and to stop following them.</p>
<h2>During Meditation A Continuous Inner Transformation Is Happening&#8230;</h2>
<p>It might and it probably will happen that certain doubts arise concerning your meditation. You may ask yourself: &#8220;Why am I doing this?&#8221;, &#8220;This doesn&#8217;t seem to lead anywhere&#8221;, &#8220;I am practicing meditation for already quite a while now and still, nothing seems to happen&#8221;, &#8220;I cannot meditate, this doesn&#8217;t work for me&#8221;&#8230; </p>
<p>Even if nothing seems to happen on the surface, there is always an inner transformation going on. Every second of deep silence connects you a bit more with your true nature and brings more love, happiness, freedom&#8230; into your life. </p>
<p>Sometimes you might even feel bored, annoyed, uncomfortable&#8230; but that&#8217;s absolutely normal and everyone who practices meditation encounters these feelings every now and then. </p>
<p>When his happens, take a few deep breaths, relax, let go of any expectations and move back into silence. Just let it happen and don&#8217;t try force anything. Say to yourself something like: &#8220;I am peaceful, I enjoy myself and I am completely one with this moment. Only this moment counts, nothing else matters right now.&#8221; This will help you to calm down your mind. </p>
<p>Silence feels uncomfortable for your mind, because it&#8217;s against its nature. The purpose of your mind is to reflect, to analyze, to think, to evaluate&#8230; and not to remain silent. So, as long as you are not moving beyond mind, all situations and happenings will be interpreted by your mind and it will keep on telling you: This is boring, annoying, uncomfortable&#8230; </p>
<p>Just be patient and keep on practicing. Learning to move into deep silence, going beyond your mind and getting in touch with your true nature, takes some time. This is because you are so identified with your mind. Thinking, &#8220;minding&#8221; is what you are doing since early childhood on.</p>
<h2>Don&#8217;t Expect Anything Particular, Simply Let Go And Let It Happen&#8230;</h2>
<p>Simply watch and observe. Watch and accept what is happening and don&#8217;t judge or interpret anything. In mind, you are engaged, you judge (this is good, this is bad), you evaluate and you interpret. Beyond mind you simply watch, there is no attachment, no judgment, no preferences&#8230; you don&#8217;t even try to cling to pleasant experiences you might have during meditation and neither do you try to get rid of feelings you don&#8217;t like. </p>
<p>Meditate without any expectations. Your mind says: &#8220;Lets meditate for half an hour, I would like to have again the same amazing experience I had last week&#8221;. Now you are waiting for that great feeling, for that pleasant moment. You say: &#8220;I become absolutely silent and then I will feel it again.&#8221; But it won&#8217;t happen, because you are expecting, you are IN mind, the silence you create is a forced silence, a fake &#8220;mind-silence&#8221;. </p>
<p>Many people have a wonderful experience already during one of their first meditations, but then they never feel anything like it again, because from that moment on, whenever they go into meditation, all that&#8217;s on their mind is to have that wonderful experience again. This desire and expectation keeps you trapped in your mind. Let go of it, otherwise it becomes impossible to move beyond mind. </p>
<p>Also, don&#8217;t force anything, the state of no-mind cannot be forced, it cannot be achieved through discipline and sheer will power. Who forces? It&#8217;s your mind and that means you are IN mind and not beyond. </p>
<p>Yes, establish the discipline to meditate every day, drop everything else for a short while, leave the world behind you and go within. Discipline is a very useful tool and it helps you to get to a certain stage, but once you reach that point of being almost beyond mind you have to drop your discipline, otherwise it becomes an obstacle. </p>
<p>Let go, simply watch, completely detached&#8230; and mind disappears. This is meditation.</p>

It was an approach designed largely to promote well-being by <a href="http://www.webmd.com/cholesterol-management/default.htm">lowering cholesterol</a> and helping diabetics normalize their blood sugar without taking insulin. That people lost <a href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/tc/healthy-weight-what-is-a-healthy-weight">weight</a> was an added plus.</p>
<p>Nathan Pritikin developed the diet in the 1970s. He was diagnosed with <strong>heart disease</strong> in the late 1950s but was not satisfied with his medical care. Although he did not have a medical background, he spent the next 20 years researching diet and <strong>nutrition</strong> , experimenting with a variety of <strong>diets</strong> , such as eating only meats or only lentils. He recorded the information and his reactions to the various diets along with blood and other medical tests. He finally concluded that a program combining moderate <strong>exercise</strong> with a diet low in fat and high in fiber was most beneficial, and credits it with reversing his own heart disease.</p>
<p>In 1976, he opened the Pritikin Longevity Center in Santa Barbara, California, which moved a few years later to Santa   Monica, California. Pritikin detailed his program of diet and exercise in his 1979 book, The Pritikin Program for Diet and Exercise, which quickly became a bestseller. He and his son, Robert Pritikin, have published eight additional books on diet and exercise. Robert Pritikin took over management of the longevity center following the death of his father in 1985.</p>
<p>Now his son, Robert Pritikin, has taken over and tweaked the concept. The same plant-based foods of the original are the staples of his diet, and the fat content of the regimen is still about as low as you can go. But Robert&#8217;s latest books focuses on something he calls The Calorie Density Solution.</p>
<p>// &lt;![CDATA[// <strong>What You Can Eat </strong></p>
<p>Not surprisingly, the more processed the food, the more likely they are packed full of calories. Corn, for instance, starts out at a somewhat reasonable 490 calories per pound. By the time it ends up in a tortilla chip at your favorite Mexican restaurant, it&#8217;s skyrocketed to 2,450 calories per pound. However, eat it with guacamole, and the combination (avocado dip with the chips) drops the number to 1,450 calories per pound.</p>
<p>The plan is to eat food with a large volume of fiber and water to fill up your stomach &#8212; vegetables, fruits, beans, and natural, unprocessed grains. These foods, he claims, &#8220;create tremendous feelings of fullness, or satiety, in your stomach.&#8221; In addition to eating three meals a day, the program incorporates two &#8220;calorically light&#8221; snacks as well. While Pritikin doesn&#8217;t have you counting calories, you do have to possess a basic understanding of how to calculate the &#8220;average caloric density of your meal,&#8221; and then keep that average below a certain number.</p>
<p>Exercise is strongly recommended, and walking is his favorite. How much is just right to maintain weight loss? Based on observations of <a href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/what-is-obesity">obese</a> people who lost weight and kept it off, Pritikin suggests &#8220;All of us should use &#8230; 30 miles a week as a goal.&#8221; For the rest of us, however, he suggests one 30-minute walk a day. Going at a good clip, you might average 12 to 15 miles a week.</p>
<p>The Pritikin Program took on new credibility in 1984 when the National Institutes of Health published its landmark lipid study that said lowering <strong>cholesterol</strong> reduced the risk of heart disease. Robert Pritikin believes the diet is based on basic properties of human biology that go back hundreds of thousands of years. The diet of early man is called the <strong>Paleolithic diet</strong> and is believed to have consisted of whole grains, plant foods, and occasional lean meat and fish. Proponents of Pritikin suggest that this diet echoes the same types of foods.</p>
<p><strong>How The Pritikin Principle Works</strong></p>
<p>To lose weight, most of us will need to keep the average caloric density of each meal below 400 calories per pound. Since most vegetables fall below 200 calories per pound, when they are eaten with meat and starches, they bring down the calorie average of each meal. High-carbohydrate food, along with pasta and hot cereals, range between 230 to 630 calories per pound. Animal protein goes from 400 calories per pound (some fish) to 1,400 (that juicy porterhouse steak) to 2,170 (bacon). By combining the leanest portions of animal protein with plenty of vegetables, you can get the caloric density down to a level where you will lose weight, according to Pritikin&#8217;s plan.</p>
<p>The general guidelines are:</p>
<ul>
<li>one to      three pieces of fruit a day, including one citrus fruit</li>
<li>a      serving of orange or yellow vegetables two or three times a week</li>
<li>several      large servings a day of green vegetables, either raw or cooked</li>
<li>two      small servings a day of whole-grain products, such as bread, cereal, rice,      or pasta</li>
<li>three      servings a day of protein-concentrated foods, such as fish, poultry, and      non-fat milk, yogurt, or cottage cheese</li>
</ul>
<p>An important component of the Pritikin program is exercise. Pritikin encourages many types of exercise routines, but aerobic exercises like walking, jogging, swimming, and indoor machines that simulate these activities are recommended for optimum weight loss. The suggested routine should include 5-10 minutes of warm-up, 20-30 minutes of workout, and 5-10 minutes of cool-down.</p>
<p>To keep within the suggested guidelines, Pritikin suggests we eat whole, unprocessed, and natural carbohydrate-rich foods, such as grains, vegetables, and fruit. Those preferred are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Brown rice</li>
<li>Millet</li>
<li>Barley</li>
<li>Oats</li>
<li>A wide assortment of dark green lettuces</li>
<li>Onions</li>
<li>Potatoes</li>
<li>Squash</li>
<li>Beans (black turtle beans, chickpeas, lentils, lima and pinto beans)</li>
<li>Apples</li>
<li>Pears</li>
<li>Strawberries</li>
<li>Bananas</li>
</ul>
<p>Some processed whole-grain foods, such as oatmeal, are acceptable. Even white-flour pasta is okay, as long as it is combined with vegetables to bring down the caloric density of the whole meal.</p>
<p>Other guidelines: Eat small portions of lean beef, chicken, and low-fat dairy products. Fish is fine, preferably three servings per week of omega-3 rich seafood. Avoid fried foods, dressing with fat, and fatty sauces. Eat frequently. Have three meals a day plus two snacks. Stay active and avoid salty foods. Artificial sweeteners such as Splenda are okay. And decaf tea, once frowned upon, is fine.</p>
<p><em>The New Pritikin Program</em> contains several pages of suggested meals and tips on how they might be improved with substitutions, as well as a restaurant guide for everything from a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger at Wendy&#8217;s to buttered noodles in a French restaurant to a serving of almond chicken in a Chinese establishment. More than 50 recipes are also included.</p>
<p><strong>What the Experts Say About The Pritikin Principle </strong></p>
<p>There seems to be little dispute that you will lose weight on the <a href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/tc/very-low-fat-diets-for-weight-loss-pritikin">Pritikin diet</a> or that it is generally a nutritionally rich diet low in calories. But there are caveats: &#8220;Because fat makes one feel full, the extremely low fat content of this diet will make those following it often feel hungry,&#8221; says Teryl L. Tanaka, RD, the clinical <a href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/default.htm">nutrition</a> manager at the Santa Monica UCLA  Medical Center. Consequently, she adds, the likelihood is high of the weight returning after one stops strictly adhering to the diet.</p>
<p>James Hill, PhD, the director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, agrees that the diet is not practical for many people. While observing that people staying at the Pritikin Centers do really well losing weight, he asks: &#8220;How realistic is the diet once they get away from the centers and into the real world?&#8221;</p>
<p>Both the Pritikin diet and the nutritionally similar <a href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/ornish-diet-what-it-is">Ornish diet</a> are extremely low in fat, Hill notes, down to 10% of total calories. &#8220;Yes, if we could do that we would all be healthier, but it is very hard to follow that formula in our environment,&#8221; he cautions. &#8220;It&#8217;s difficult to maintain such a low-fat content of our <a href="http://www.webmd.com/diet/default.htm">diets</a> if you eat out often, and it takes time to prepare good,-tasting low-fat food. Most people do not have the time to spend hours each day preparing food.&#8221;</p>
<p>Another problem, adds Tanaka, is that the low-fat content may actually be harmful to our health, &#8220;Pritikin also inhibits the intake and absorption of fat soluble vitamins, and can even limit the amount of essential fatty acids provided by the diet needed for normal cell function, <strong><a href="http://www.webmd.com/skin-beauty/cosmetic-procedures-overview-skin">healthy skin</a> </strong>and tissue, growth, and development.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Food For Thought</strong></p>
<p>What do most nutritionists and health authorities like about the diet? Its strict limit of animal products &#8212; often associated with a variety of major diseases &#8212; and that it incorporates exercise and stress reduction, along with overall low calorie intake. But this is qualified with a concern that the extremely low-fat regimen is difficult to stick with over the long haul.</p>
<p>One man was diagnosed with incurable heart disease but he didn&#8217;t want to accept the fatal consequences, so he elaborated his nutritional plan and exercise program and started following it. Soon afterwards he achieved significant improvements in his health. It happened in the late 1950s and this man was <em>Nathan Pritikin</em>.</p>

<p>Having seen the positive results of his plan Nathan Pritikin spent almost 20 years studying nutritional approaches of other cultures, conducting some scientific research and making experiments with different diets. <p>Wouldn’t you love to have the above affirmation be true for you? Perhaps you have been limiting yourself by thinking some of these thoughts:</p>
<p>I can’t stand this job.</p>
<p>I hate my boss.</p>
<p>I don’t earn enough money.</p>
<p>The don’t appreciate me at work.</p>
<p>I can’t get along with the people at work.</p>
<p>I don’t know what I want to do.</p>
<p>This is negative, defensive thinking. What kind of good position do you think this will get you? It is approaching the subject from the wrong end.</p>

<p>If you are in a job you don’t care for, if you want to change your position, if you are having problems at work, or if you are out of work, the best way to handle it is this:</p>
<p>Begin by blessing your current position with love. Realize that this is only a stepping stone on your pathway. You are where you are because of your own thinking patterns. If “they” are not treating you the way you would like to be treated, then there is a pattern in your consciousness that is attracting such behavior. So, in your mind look around your current job or the job you had last, and begin to bless everything with love &#8212; the building, the elevators or stairs, the rooms, the furniture and equipment, the people you work for and the people you work with &#8212; and each and every customer.</p>
<p>Begin to affirm for yourself that, “I always work for the most wonderful bossed. “My boss always treat me with respect and courtesy,” and, “My boss is generous and easy to work for.” This will carry forward with you all your life, and if you become a boss, then you will be like that, too.</p>
<p>A young man was about to start a new job and was nervous. I remember saying, “Why wouldn’t you do well? <em>Of course </em>you will be successful. Open your heart and let your talents flow out of you. Bless the establishment, all of the people you work with, and the people you work for, and each and every customer with love, and all will go well.”</p>
<p><strong>Affirmation for Work</strong></p>
<p>“I am totally open and receptive to a wonderful new position, one that uses all my talents and abilities, and allows me to express creatively in ways that are fulfilling to me. I work with and for people whom I love, and who love and respect me, in a wonderful location and earning good money.”</p>
<p>If there is someone at work who bothers you, again bless them with love every time you think of them. In each and every one of us is every single quality. <em>While may not choose to do so, we are all capable of being a Hitler or a Mother Teresa. </em>If this person is critical, begin to affirm that he or she is loving and full of praise. If he or she is grouchy, affirm that this person is cheerful and fun to be around. If he or she is cruel, affirm that this person is gentle and compassionate. If you see only the good qualities in this person, then that is what he or she has to show to you, no matter what behavior is displayed toward others.</p>
<p><strong>Example</strong></p>
<p>This man’s job was to play the piano in a club where the boss was know for being unkind and mean. The employees used to call the boss “Mr. Death” behind his back. I was asked how to handle this situation.</p>
<p>I replied, “Inside each and every person are all the good qualities. No matter how other people react to him, it has nothing to do with your. Every time you think of this man, bless him with love. Keep affirming for yourself, <em>I always work for wonderful bosses. </em>Keep doing this over and over.”</p>

<p>He took my advice and did exactly that. My client began to receive warm greetings, and the boss soon began to slip him bonuses and hired him to play in several other clubs. The other employees who were sending out negative thoughts to the boss were still being mistreated.</p>
<p>If you like your job but feel you are not getting paid enough, then begin to bless your current salary with love. Expressing gratitude for what we already have enables it to grow. Affirm that our are now opening your consciousness to a greater prosperity and that PART of that prosperity is an increased salary. Affirm that you deserve a raise, not for negative reasons, but because you are a great asset to the company and the owners want to share their profits with you. Always do the best you can on the job, for then, the Universe will know that you are ready to be lifted out of where you are to the next and even better place.</p>
<p>Your consciousness put you where you are now. Your consciousness will either keep you there or lift you to a better position. It’s up to you.</p>

<p><strong>BUILING THE NEW</strong></p>
<p><strong>“T</strong>he answers within me come to my awareness with ease.”</p>
<p>I don’t want to be fat.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be broke.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be old.</p>
<p>I don’t want to live here.</p>
<p>I don’t want to have this relationship.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be</p>
<p>I don’t want to be like my mother/father.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be stuck in this job.</p>
<p>I don’t want to have this hair/nose/body.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be lonely.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be sick.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU PUT YOUR ATTENTION ON GROWS</strong></p>
<p>The above show how we are culturally taught to fight the negative mentally – thinking that if we do so, the positive will automatically come to us. It doesn’t work that way.</p>
<p>How often have you lamented about what you didn’t want? Did it ever bring you what you really wanted? Fighting the negative is a total waste of time if you really want to make changes in your life. <em>The more you dwell on what you don’t want, the more of it you create. The things about yourself or your life that you have always disliked are probably still with you.</em></p>
<p>What you put your attention on grows and becomes permanent in your life. Move away from the negative, and put your attention on what it is that you really do want to be or have. Let’s turn the above negative affirmations into positive affirmations.</p>
<p>I am slender.</p>
<p>I am prosperous.</p>
<p>I am eternally young.</p>
<p>I now move to a better place.</p>
<p>I have a wonderful new relationship.</p>
<p>I am my own person.</p>
<p>I love my hair/nose/body.</p>
<p>I am filled with love and affection.</p>
<p>I am joyous and happy and free.</p>
<p>I am totally healthy.</p>
<p><strong>Affirmations</strong></p>
<p><em>Learn to think in positive affirmations. </em>Affirmations can be any statements you make. Negative affirmations only create more of what you say you don’t want. Saying, “I hate my job,” will get you nowhere. Declaring, “I now accept a wonderful new job,” will open the channels in your consciousness to create that.</p>
<p>Continually make positive statements about how you want your life to be. However, there is one point that is very important in this: <em>Always make</em><strong> </strong><em>your statements in the PRESENT TENSE, </em>“I want,” or “I will have,” then that where that idea will always stay – just out of your reach in the future!</p>
<p><strong>The Process of Loving the Self</strong></p>
<p>As I have said before, no matter what the problem, the main issue to work on is LOVING THE SELF. This is the “magic wand” that dissolves problems. Remember the times when you have felt good about yourself and how well your life was going? Remember the times when you were in love and for those periods you seemed to have problems? Well, loving yourself is going to bring such a surge of good feelings and good fortune to you that you will be dancing on air. LOVING YOURSELF MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD.</p>
<p>It is impossible to really love yourself unless you have self approval and self-acceptance. This means no criticism whatsoever. I can hear all the objections right now.</p>
<p>“But I have always criticized myself.”</p>
<p>“How can I possibly like that about myself?”</p>
<p>“My parents/teachers/lovers always criticized me.”</p>
<p>“How will I be motivated?”</p>
<p>“But it is wrong for me to do those things.”</p>
<p>“How am I going to change if I don’t criticize myself?”</p>
<p><strong>Training the Mind</strong></p>
<p>Self-criticism such as that illustrated above is just the mind going on with old chatter. See how you have trained your mind to berate you and be resistant to change? Ignore those thoughts and get on with the important work at hand!</p>
<p>Let’s o bacdk to an exercise we did earlier. Look into the mirror again, and say, “I love and approve of myself exactly as I am.”</p>
<p>How des that feel now? Is it a little easier after the forgiveness wor we have done? This is still the main issue. Self-approval and self-acceptance are the keys to positive changes.</p>
<p>In the days when my own self-denial was so prevalent, I would occasionally slap my own face. I didn’t know the meaning of self-acceptance. My belief in my own lacks and limitations was stronger than anything anyone else could say to the contrary. I   someone told me I was love, my immediate reaction was, “Why? What could any one possibly see in me?” Or the classic thought, “If they only knew what I was really like inside, they wouldn’t love me.”</p>
<p>I was not aware that all good begins with accepting that which is within one’s self, and loving that self which is you. It took quite a while to develop a peaceful, loving relationship with myself.</p>
<p>First, I used to hunt for the little things about myself that I thought were “good qualities.” Even this helped, and my own healing began to improve. Good health begins with love the self. So do prosperity and love and creative self-expression. Later I learned to love and approve all of me, even those qualities I thought were “not good enough.” That was when I really began to make progress.</p>
<p><strong>Exercise: I approve Myself</strong></p>
<p>I have given this exercise to hundreds of people, and the results are phenomenal. For the next month, say over and over to yourself, “I APPROVE OF MYSELF.”</p>
<p>Do this three or four hundred times a day, at least. No, It’s not too many times. When you are worrying, you go over your problem at least that many times. Let “I approve of myself” become a walking mantra, something you just say over and over and over to yourself, almost non-stop.</p>
<p>Saying “I approve of myself” is a guaranteed way to bring up everything buried in your consciousness that is in opposition.</p>
<p>When negative thoughts come up, such as. “How can I approve of myself when I am fat?” or “It’s silly to think this can do any good,” or “I am no good,” or whatever your negative babble will be, this is the time to take mental control. Give these thought no importance. Just see them for what they are &#8212; another way keep you stuck in the past. Gently say to these thoughts, “I let you go; I approve of myself.”</p>
<p>Even considering doing this exercise can bring up lot of stuff, like “It feels silly,” “It doesn’t feel true,” “It’s a lie,” “It sounds stuck up,” or “How can I approve of myself when I do that?”</p>
<p>Let all these thoughts just pass through. These are only resistance thoughts. They have no power over you unless you choose to believe them.</p>
<p>“I approve of myself, I approve of myself, I approve of myself.” No matter what happens, no matter who says what to you, no matter who does what to you, just keep it going. In fact, when you can say that to yourself when someone is doing something you don’t approve of, you will know you are growing and changing.</p>
<p>Thoughts have no power over us unless we give in to them. Thoughts are only words strung together. They have NO MEANING WHATSOEVER. Only we give meaning to them. Let us choose to think thoughts that nourish and support us.</p>
<p><em>Part of self-acceptance is releasing other people’s opinions. </em> If I were with you and kept telling you, “You are a purple pic, you are a purple pig.” You would either laugh at me, or get annoyed with me and think I was crazy. It would be most unlikely that you would think it was true. Yet many of things we have chosen to believe about ourselves are just as far out and untrue. To believe that your self-worth is dependent on the shape of your body is your version of believing that “You are a purple pig.”</p>
<p><em>Often what we think or as the things “wrong with us are only our expressions of our own individuality. </em>This is our uniqueness and what is special about us. Nature never repeates itself. Since time began on this planet, there have never been two snowflakes like or two raindrops the same. And every daisy is different from every other daisy. Our fingerprints are different, and we are different. <em>We are meant to be different. When we can accept this, then there is no competition and no competition and no comparison. </em>To try to be like another is to shrivel our soul. We have come to this planet to express who <em>we are. </em></p>
<p>I didn’t even know who I was until I began to learn to love myself as I am in this moment.</p>
<p><strong>Put Your Awareness into Practice</strong></p>
<p>Think thoughts that make you happy. Do things that make you feel good. Be with people who make you feel good. Eat things that make your body feel good. Go at a pace that makes you feel good.</p>
<p><strong>Planting Seeds</strong></p>
<p>Think for a moment of a tomato plant. A healthy plant can have over a hundred tomatoes on it. In order to get his tomato plant with all these tomatoes on it, we need to start with a small dried seed. That seed doesn’t look like a tomato plant. It sure doesn’t tase like a tomato plant. If you didn’t know for sure, you would not even believe it could be a tomato plant. However, let’s say you plant this seed in fertile soil, and you water it and let the sun shine on it.</p>
<p>When the first little tiny shoot comes up, you don’t stomp on it and say, “that’s not a tomato plant.” Rather, you look at it and say “Oh boy! Here it comes,” and you watch it grow with delight. In time, if you continue to water it and give it lots of sunshine and pull away any weeds, you might have a tomato plant with more than a hundred luscious tomatoes. It all began with tat one tiny seed.</p>
<p>It is the same with creating a new experience for yourself. The soil you plant in is your subconscious mind. The seed is the new affirmation. <em>The whole new experience is this tiny seed. </em>You water it with affirmations. You let the sunshine of positive thoughts beam on it. You weed the garden by pulling out the negative thoughts that come up. And when you first see the tiniest little evidence, you don’t stomp on it and say, “That’s not enough!” Instead, you look at this first breakthrough and exclaim wit glee, “Oh boy! Here it comes! It’s working!” </p>
<p>Then you watch it grow and become your desire in manifestation.</p>
<p><strong>Exercise: Create New Changes</strong></p>
<p>Now is the time to take your list of things that are wrong with you and turn them into positive affirmations. Or you can list all the changes you want to make and have and do. Then select three from this list and turn them into positive affirmations.</p>
<p>Just suppose your negative list was something like this:</p>
<p>My life is a mess.</p>
<p>I should lose weight.</p>
<p>Nobody loves me.</p>
<p>I want to move.</p>
<p>I hate my job.</p>
<p>I should get organized.</p>
<p>I don’t do enough.</p>
<p>I’m not good enough.</p>
<p>You can then turn them around to something like this:</p>
<p>I am will to release the pattern in me that created these conditions.</p>
<p>I am in the process of positive changes.</p>
<p>I have a happy slender body.</p>
<p>I experience love wherever I go.</p>
<p>I have the perfect living space.</p>
<p>I now create a wonderful new job.</p>
<p>I am now very well organized.</p>
<p>I appreciate all that I do.</p>
<p>I love and approve of myself.</p>
<p>I trust the process of life to bring me my highest good.</p>
<p>I deserve the vest, and I accept it now.</p>
<p>Out of this group of affirmations will come all the things you want to change on your list. Loving and approving of yourself, creating a space of safety, trusting and deserving and accepting, will enable your body weight to normalize. They will create organization in your mind, create loving relationships in your life, attract a new job and a new place to live. It is miraculous the way a tomato plant grows. It is miraculous the way we can demonstrate our desires.</p>
<p><strong>Deserving Your Good</strong></p>
<p>Do you believe that you deserve to have you desire? If you don’t you won’t allow yourself to have it. Circumstances beyond your control will crop up to frustrate you.</p>
<p><strong>Exercise: I Deserve</strong></p>
<p>Look in your mirror again, and say “I deserve to have or be _______, and I accept it now.” Say it two or three times.</p>
<p>How do you fees? Always pay attention to your feelings, to what is going on in your body. Does it feel true, or still feel unworthy?</p>
<p>If yu have any negative feelings in your body, then go back to affirming. “I release the pattern in my consciousness that is creating resistance to my good.” “I deserve ___________.”</p>
<p>Repeat this until you get the acceptance feelings, even if you have to do it several days in a row.</p>
<p><strong>Holistic Philosophy</strong></p>
<p>In our approach to Building the New, we want to use a holistic approach. The holistic philosophy is to nurture and nourish the entire being &#8212;- the Body, the Mind, and the Spirit. If we ignore of these areas, we are incomplete; we lack wholeness. It doesn’t matter where we start as long as we also include the other areas.</p>
<p><strong><em>If we begin with the body</em>, </strong>we would want to work with nutrition, to learn the relationship between our choice of food and beverages, and how they affect the way we feel. We want to make the best choices for our body. There are herbs and vitamins, homeopathy and Bach Flower Remedies. We might explore colonics. We would want to fin a form of exercise that appeals to us. Exercise is something that strengthens our bones and keeps our bodies young. In addition to sports and swimming, consider dancing, Tai-chi, martial arts, and yoga. I love my trampoline and use it daily. My slant board enhances my periods of relaxation.  </p>
<p>We might want to explore some form of body work such Rolfing. Heller Work or Trager. Massage, foot reflexology, acupuncture, or chiropractic work are all beneficial, as well. There is also the Alexander Method, bioenergetics, Frldenkrais, Touch for Health and Reiki forms of body work.</p>
<p><em>Meditation </em>in any of its forms is a wonderful way to quiet the min and allow your own “knowingness” to come to the surface. I usually just sit with my eyes closed and say, What is it I need to know?” and ten I wait quietly for an answer. If the answer comes, fine: if it doesn’t, fine. It will come another day.</p>
<p>There are <em>groups </em>that do workshops for all different tastes such as Insight, Loving Relationships Training, Advocate Experience, the Ken Keys group, Actualizations, and many more. Many of these groups do weekend workshops. These weekends give you a chance to see whole new viewpoint about life. No one workshops will totally clear up ALL your problems forever. However, they can assist you in changing your life in the here and now.</p>
<p><em>In the Spiritual Realm </em>there is prayer, there is meditation, and becoming connected with your Higher Source. For me, Practicing forgiveness and unconditional love are spiritual practices.</p>
<p>There are any spiritual groups. In addition to the Christian churches, there are metaphysical churches, such Religious Science and Unity. There is the Self-Realization Fellowship, M.S.I.A., Transcendental Meditation, the Siddha Foundation, and so on.</p>
<p>I want you to know that there are many, many avenues you can explore. If one way doesn’t work for you, try another. All these suggestions have proved to be beneficial. I cannot say which one is right for you. That is something you will have to discover for yourself. No one method or one person or one group has all the answers for everyone. I don’t have all the answers for everyone. I am just one more stepping  stone on the pathway holistic health.</p>

<p><strong><em>In the infinity of life where I am,</em></strong></p>
<p><strong><em>All is perfect, whole and complete,</em></strong></p>

<p><strong><em>As the Universe sees me &#8212; perfect, whole, and complete.</em></strong></p>

<p>Karuna  is  a  Sanskrit  word  and  is  used  in  Hinduism  and  Buddhism.  The  literal</p>
<p>meaning  of  the  term  is  compassion.  This  compassion  shows  itself  in  actions  as</p>
<p>we  help  others  and  aid  them  in  their  healing  process,  through  which  all  beings</p>
<p>benefit.  It  is  also  stated  in  the  Buddhist  literature  that  Karuna  must  be</p>
<p>accompanied  by  parjna  or  wisdom  in  order  to  have  the  right  effect.  Karuna  is  the</p>
<p>motivating  quality  that  provides  us  with  unlimited  amount  of  healing  energy  and</p>
<p>guidance,  which  is  considered  as  a  blessing  from  all  the  enlightened  beings.</p>
<p>Karuna  Reiki  opens  you  to  work  more  closely  with  all  enlightened  beings,  whether</p>
<p>present  in  physical  or  spirit  form.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Origin</strong></p>
<p>The  system  was  introduced  by  William  Rand  who  was  already  a  usui  practitioner.</p>
<p>He  started  experimenting  with  different  non  reiki  symbols,  that  were  introduced  to</p>
<p>him  by  many  enlightened  healers.  Slowly,  along  with  his  students,  he  also</p>
<p>eveolved  a  reiki  attunement  to  go  with  the  symbols.  This  new  attunement  along</p>
<p>with  an  different  set  of  symbols  created  a  new  form  of  energy  altogether,  which</p>
<p>led  to  the  formation  of  system  of  Karuna  Reiki.  Karuna  reiki  as  a  more  clearly</p>
<p>defined  form  of  reiki  came  into  being  in  1995.  The  special  Karuna  Reiki  symbols</p>
<p>can  be  used  just  like  other  Reiki  symbols  when  giving  Reiki  treatments.  One  can</p>
<p>learn  the  whole  method  in  one  3  day  weekend,  prerequisite  being  that  the</p>
<p>students  are  already  Reiki  Masters.  </p>
<p>Karuna  Reiki  can  be  divided  into  four  levels  -  two  practitioner  levels  and  two</p>
<p>Master  levels.  A  requirement  for  taking  any  of  the  Karuna  practitioner  levels  is</p>
<p>ART  or  what  is  also  called  Reiki  3a.  By  having  and  using  the  Usui  master</p>
<p>symbol  for  treatments,  it  causes  the  student  to  be  able  to  hold  more  healing</p>
<p>energy  and  thus  get  greater  benefit  from  the  Karuna  training.  Karuna  training  is</p>
<p>not  a  substitute  for  Usui  Reiki,  but  the  next  step  after  it.  Level  one  involves  the</p>
<p>teaching  of  the  first  four  symbols  from  Karuna  I.  The  pracitioner  is  given</p>
<p>attunement  for  them,  along  with  the  time  to  practice  their  use.  In  level  two,  the</p>
<p>second  four  symbols  from  Karuna  II  are  taught  along  with  imparting  an  attunement</p>
<p>for  them,  and  time  to  practice.  If  the  person  is  already  a  Reiki  Master,  he  /  she</p>
<p>can  go  on  to  level  three  by  giving  the  Master  attunement  for  Karuna  I  ,  show</p>
<p>how  to  do  the  attunements  for  Karuna  I,  and  practice  doing  the  attunements.  </p>

<p>At  level  Three,  Master  attunementor  Karuna  2  is  given.</p>
<p>Along  with  that  it  is  taught  how  to  do  the  attunements  for</p>
<p>Karuna  II,  and  then  practice  doing  the  attunements.  </p>

<p>awakens.  This  heat  is  the</p>
<p>unification  of  the  body  and  the  mind.  Dumo  ignites  this</p>
<p>fire  in  the  root  chakra,  pulls  negative  energy  and</p>
<p>disease  from  the  body  and  releases  it.  Dumo  heals  on</p>

<p>Master  Symbol`s  meaning  is  a  Zen</p>

<p>Therefore,  the  diseases  are  considered  to  be  formed  originally  in  our</p>
<p>spiritual  bodies.  Dai  Ko  Myo  cleanses  these  bodies  and  heals  our</p>
<p>spirit.  In  Karuna  Ki,  Usui  Dai  Ko  Myo  is  used  to  represent  the  total</p>
<p>connection  to  compassion  of  the  divine  source.  </p>

<p>with  God.  It  represents  creation,  preservation  and</p>
<p>destruction.  Om  opens  the  crown  chakra.  If  its  drawn</p>

<p>above  the  head  opens  a  pathway  to  God  and  higher</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Raku:</span></strong> </p>
<p>Raku  is  used  only  during  attunements. </p>

<p>at  the  end  of  attunements  in  both  Usui  reiki  and  Karuna</p>

<p>energy.  It  can  be  used  either  to</p>
<p>ground  energy  into  the  lower  chakras  or  push  energy  upwards</p>
<p>into  the  higher  chakras  without  allowing  it  to  release  through</p>
<p>the  Crown  chakra.  The  Fire  Serpent  connects  and  opens  all</p>
<p>chakras  allowing  balance  and  harmony.  </p>
